Itisrecognizableduetothepresenceofthemechanismonthe
toppartoftherefrigeratorcompartment(see diagram).
PureWindmaximisesaircirculation,improvingtheefficiencyof
theevaporatorandhelpingtoachievetheoptimaltemperature
insidetherefrigeratorasquicklyaspossibleeachtimeithas
beenopened.Theblownair(A)iscooledwhenitcomesinto
contactwiththecoldwall,whereasthehotterair(B)issucked
up (see diagram).
ThePureWindPlusproductsarealsoequippedwithafilter
which,thankstotheinclusionofsilverions,makesitpossible
toreducebacteriaby70%andtoeliminateodoursinsidethe
refrigeratorunit,therebyguaranteeingimprovedfoodstorage.
IftheTEMPERATUREADJUSTMENTknobhasbeenset
onhighvalueswithlargequantitiesoffoodandwithahigh
ambienttemperature,theappliancecanoperatecontinuously,
resultinginexcessivefrostformationandexcessiveenergy
consumption:compensateforthisbyshiftingtheknobtowards
lowervalues(defrostingwilloccurautomatically).

ModelswithouttheAircoolerhavethecoolingsectionin
theinternalbackwallofthecompartments.Thewallwillbe
coveredinfrostorwaterdropletsdependingonwhetherthe
compressorisoperatingorpaused:bothcasesarenormal.If
theTEMPERATUREADJUSTMENTknobhasbeensetonhigh
valueswithlargequantitiesoffoodandwithahighambient
temperature,theappliancecanoperatecontinuously,resulting
inexcessivefrostformationandexcessiveenergyconsumption:
compensateforthisbyshiftingtheknobtowardslowervalues
(defrostingwilloccurautomatically).
Instaticappliances,theaircirculatesinanaturalway:the
colderairtendstomovedownwardsasitisheavier.Thefood

ozoneisanaturalsubstancewhichcombatsbacteriaand
microorganisms,reducingtheirproliferationwhilelimiting
unpleasantodours.
Automaticallydefinestheamountofozonerequiredfor
prolongingthefreshnessoffoodstuffs,eliminatingodoursand
preventingbacteriabuild-up.
Theremaybeaslightdistinctiveodourinsidetherefrigerator.
Theverysamesmellcansometimesbedetectedduringa
storm,duetotheozoneproducedasthechargeinthelightning
boltsisreleased;thisiscompletelynormal.Theamount
producedbythedeviceisverysmallandabatesquicklyasthe
antibacterialactiontakesplace.
Deviceisactivatedpressingthededicatedswitchlocatedin
rightsideoftheOxigendevice.
WiththeActiveOxigenswitchedon,thedevicewilloperate
arepetedcycleuntilthekeyispressedagain.Therewillbe
anOzoneemissionnoticedbytheswitchingonofthegreen
ledlocatedontheActiveOxigendevicelocatedinthefridge
compartmentandastand-bycicle(withoutzoneemission)
noticedbybluelight.
Using the refrigerator to its full potential
• UsetheTEMPERATUREADJUSTMENTknobtoadjustthe
temperature (see Description).
• Placeonlycoldorlukewarmfoodsinthecompartment,not
hotfoods(see Precautions and tips).
• Rememberthatcookedfoodsdonotlastlongerthanraw
foods.
• Donotstoreliquidsinopencontainers.Theywillincrease
humidityintherefrigeratorandcausecondensationtoform.
Food hygiene
1. Onceyouhaveboughtyourfood,removeallexternal
packagingmadeofpaper/cardboardorotherwrappers,
whichcouldintroducebacteriaordirtinsideyour
refrigerator.
2. Protectthefood,(especiallyeasilyperishableitemsand
thosethathaveastrongsmell),inordertoavoidcontact
betweenthem,therebyremovingboththepossibilityof
germ/bacteriacontaminationaswellasthediffusionof
strongodoursinsidethefridge.
3. Storeallfoodinsuchawayastoensureaircancirculate
freelybetweendifferentitems.
4. Keeptheinsideofyourfridgeclean,takingcarenottouse
oxidiserorabrasiveproducts.
5. Removeallfoodpastitsexpirydatefromtherefrigerator.
6. Forthecorrectpreservationoffood,alleasilyperishable
items(softcheeses,rawfish,meat,etc.)shouldbestoredin
thecoldestzoneofthefridgecompartment,i.e.justabove
thesaladcrisperwherethetemperatureindicatorissituated.
Using the freezer to its full potential
• Donotre-freezefoodthatisdefrostingorthathasalready
beendefrosted.Thesefoodsmustbecookedandeaten
(within24hours).
• Freshfoodthatneedstobefrozenmustnotcomeinto
contactwithfoodthathasalreadybeendefrosted.Fresh
foodmustbestoredinthetopFREEZERandSTORAGE
compartmentwherethetemperaturedropsbelow-18°Cand
guaranteesrapidfreezing.
• Donotplaceglassbottleswhichcontainliquids,andwhich
arecorkedorhermeticallysealedinthefreezerbecause
theycouldbreak.
